Wine Advocate-Parker :
Representing a big step forward in the overall stylistic identity of this delicious wine, the 2011 Haiku really blew me away. Haiku is mostly Sangiovese blended with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Compared to the 2010 vintage, this edition is much richer and more fleshed out. I tasted this next to the 2010 that offers less volume and richness. This is a complete and generous expression with soft cherry layers that wrap thickly over the palate. Spice, leather and balsam herb drive the long, luscious finish. Castello di Ama performs very nicely in the warmer vintages, thanks to its high altitude vineyards.
