Domaine Jacques Prieur

Based in Meursault since 1865, the Domaine Jacques Prieur may boast itself on being the only one to own such a unique collection of parcels across the five greatest and prestigious appellations composing the Côte d'Or: Chambertin, Musigny, Clos Vougeot, Corton Charlemagne and Montrachet. Along with its 9 Grands Crus and its 14 Premiers Crus scattered across the Côte de Nuits up North and the Côte de Beaune further down South, this estate founded by Jacques Prieur is nowadays led, along with the members of the Prieur Family, by the Labruyere Family. The latter Family purchased this estate back in 1988. It is committed, through Jean-Pierre and Edouard Labruyere as well as Martin Prieur, in vinificating and producing thoroughly, according to the purest Burgundy style, some chardonnays and Pinot Noirs of a great breed. Following extremely strict requirements Jacques Prieur produces and vinifies wines that express strong personalities relevant from each climat composing the great mosaic of parcels in the Côte d'Or. Each appellation not only in Premiers Crus but also in Grands Crus will display to the most patient noses and palates all the quintessence of a transcended Burgundy.
